Xyriel Anne Bustamante Manabat (born January 27, 2004) is a Filipino actress. She began her acting career as a child actress after finishing third runner-up in the talent search program Star Circle Kid Quest: Search for the Kiddie Idol. She rose to fame following her portrayal of young versions of the titular roles in the series Agua Bendita and earned further recognition as young Anna Manalastas in 100 Days to Heaven.
Following a few years of hiatus after portraying a young Ivy Aguas in Wildflower, she made her comeback in the industry by starring in Dirty Linen, where she portrayed Antonette Pavia.
She later gained her maturity by starring in Senior High and its sequel High Street.
Biography[]
Xyriel Manabat was born on January 27, 2004 in Taytay, Rizal. Her parents are Daryl Jake Manabat and Elizabeth Dianne Bustamante-Manabat. She has a brother named Xandrei Ezekiel, and is a member of Iglesia ni Cristo. At age five, she competed in the talent Star Circle Quest: Search for the Next Kiddie Idol, where she finished as third runner-up.[1]
Manabat's first acting role was a minor role in the Zaijian Jaranilla-led series May Bukas Pa (2009),[2] followed by I Love Betty La Fea and Dahil May Isang Ikaw.[3] She gained further recognition for her dual role as the young versions of the title characters in Agua Bendita (2010). She subsequently earned a nomination for Best New Female TV Personality during the 24th PMPC Star Awards for Television. She then followed with playing the title role in Momay, and a supporting role in Noah.[1][3]
Manabat's breakthrough came in 2011, where she played the young version of Anna Manalastas (portrayed by Coney Reyes) in the drama series 100 Days to Heaven. She went on to receive five wins and three nominations from different award-giving bodies. Her next big project was in Hawak Kamay, where she played one of the three adopted children of Piolo Pascual's character. The ensemble cast included Iza Calzado, Andrea Brillantes, Zaijian Jaranilla, Nikki Gil, and Yesha Camille.
Following her short appearance in the series Wildflower, Manabat went on a hiatus to focus on her personal life and education. In May 2020, she graduated high school at the Golden Faith Academy in Taytay, Rizal and made an appearance as guest in the morning talk show Magandang Buhay.
After a six-year hiatus from her acting career, she returned to acting by playing Antonette Pavia on Dirty Linen. She would later star in Senior High, where she portrayed Roxanne "Roxy" Cristobal, and would reprise her role in it's sequel High Street.
She would later become a housemate in Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition, where she spent 48 days inside the house, before being evicted on Day 84.
