The Soulmate Project was supposed to be an iWant Original series starring James Reid and Nancy McDonie of MOMOLAND, intended to be directed by Antoinette Jadaone. Production for the series was slated to begin in 2020, but was scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ABS-CBN shutdown and franchise denial.

In 2019, it was revealed that James Reid and Nancy McDonie of MOMOLAND are set to star in a project.
On January 13, ABS-CBN released a plug for its 2020 offerings, confirming the project itself will push through as an iWant Original Series to premiere in the middle of the said year. However, on March 15, 2020, the metropolitan was placed under a lockdown following the emergence of the COVID-19 disease as a global pandemic, which would spread throughout the country starting in the said month of 2020.
Due to the community quarantine caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, the project was put on hold in response to the restrictions that were put in order to combat the disease.
Jadaone later said in an interview that there were no plans to revise it in compliance with safety protocols put during the pandemic.
