Maria Lea Carmen Imutan Salonga is a Filipino singer and actress. Primarily a stage actress, she is well known for originating the lead role of Kim in the musical, Miss Saigon, for which she won a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical in 1991, and was also one of the first Asians to play the roles of Éponine Thénardier and Fantine in the musical, Les Misérables. She also performed in various international productions of renowned musicals, like My Fair Lady, Cinderella, Flower Drum Song, Into the Woods, Allegiance, Cats, Sweeney Todd and Here Lies Love. She also provided the singing voices of Disney Princesses Jasmine and Fa Mulan.
On ABS-CBN, she was a coach on The Voice of the Philippines, The Voice Kids and The Voice Teens during it's pre-pandemic/shutdown seasons from 2013-2020.
