DonBelle is a loveteam composed of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano. The loveteam's beginnings can be traced back to the first season of He's Into Her, when it was announced on November 7, 2019, that Pangilinan and Mariano would be having a team-up in an adaptation of the 2012 novel He's Into Her, originally written by Maxinejiji.
Despite the series having filmed many scenes before the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the country, the production was suspended following the declaration of the community quarantine, in order to comply with the rules and regulations of the quarantine's implementation as part of the country's fight against the coronavirus disease. Furthermore, with the shutdown of ABS-CBN, as well as it's subsequent franchise denial and layoffs, Pangilinan would later be included as one of the hosts of Sunday Noontime Live!.
In 2021, following the success of the first season of He's Into Her, it was later revealed during the Benison Ball that there would be a second season of the series, as well as DonBelle's first team-up in a movie, titled Love is Colorblind.
In 2022, following the success of Love is Colorblind, and the second season of He's Into Her, it was confirmed that DonBelle would be having another movie, titled An Inconvenient Love.
During the 2022 ABS-CBN Christmas Special, it was revealed that DonBelle would star in their first teleserye, titled Can't Buy Me Love.
